Schedule: Monday- Friday; 7:00 AM - approximately 3:00 PM (and as needed)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Lead the delivery activities of the service center and ensure effectiveness of the supervisory team.

2.    Ensure compliance with all CBC SOPs and policies.  

3.    Monitor driver hours, inspections, and DOT compliance.

4.    Collaborate with management with analysis of logistics data to achieve efficient routing and planning. 

5.    Direct daily schedules, routes, and assignment of personnel and equipment. 

6.    Resolve department issues, customer concerns, and errors. 

7.    Promote employee safety through training and accountability; complete accident and injury reports and investigations as needed. 

8.    Ensure supervisor completion quality work withs based on assigned frequency.  Provide leadership by committing to complete effective work withs and coaching supervisors on best practices.   

9.    Initiate and complete investigations into causes of damages and/or shortages.

10.    Manage daily inquiries concerning vehicles, employees, and service status as requested by customers, sales, general services, and management. 

11.    Recommend process improvements and policy changes as needed.

12.    Collaborate with Delivery Manager – Training and Development to ensure all employees are completing necessary training assignments in a timely manner.

13.    Act as back-up for Delivery Manager – Training and Development as needed for assistance with training, work-withs, and recruiting.

14.    All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1.     Possess and display Coastal Beverage Company’s Core Values at all times:

2.    Possess education equivalent to Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school plus 5 years of similar or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

3.     Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. 

4.     Possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 

5.     Possess the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. 

6.     Possess the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Possess the 

ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 

7.     Possess ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Possess the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 

8.     Possess computer skills requiring knowledge of word processing software, RAS, e-mail spreadsheet software, and Internet.

9.    Possess the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.

10.     Possess a valid, active Class A CDL along with acceptable MVR and active medical card.

11.    Possess and maintain a beer license.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises 3-10 employees in the Delivery Department.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include traditional manager responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
