The Transaction Advisory Services Team
The Redpath Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team is comprised of former Big Four CPAs and large consulting firm professionals who provide private equity and corporate clients buy side and sell side financial accounting due diligence. The TAS team actively engages in assessing a target’s quality of earnings, analyzing cash flows, reviewing working capital, identifying key business drivers, reviewing forecasts, and conducting comprehensive discussions with management and their advisors. They also routinely team with the firm’s various stakeholders to deliver a truly integrated solution to clients.
As a Transaction Advisory Services professional, you will work with fast-growing companies and private equity firms on complex deals, help to identify key value drivers, challenge assumptions about future performance, search for and advise on hidden value, and work with other teams to deliver an integrated approach to our clients before, during and after the transaction.
You will:
- Participate in financial due diligence engagements related to the acquisition or disposal of businesses by private equity investors or strategic corporate buyers.
- Identify key risks and potential deal breakers, assess the strengths and weaknesses of the business against industry benchmarks, and assist in the evaluation of the potential transaction in the context of the clients’ investment strategy.
- Prepare and analyze financial results of targets including quality of reported earnings, net assets, and cash flows; assess key operational data.
- Identify issues that impact purchase price and deal structuring.
- Synthesize and convert data into meaningful information used to drive observations, conclusions, and recommendations for discussions with target management.
- Assess findings to be incorporated into the client’s valuation, sale and purchase agreement.
- Assist in the construction of deal-oriented reports and presentations for clients.
- Participate in meetings and conference calls with target company management and with client personnel and serve as a secondary point of contact for client personnel with respect to day-to-day execution matters.
- Project manage information flows and manage key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or related major
- CPA or in process of obtaining certification
- Minimum 2 years audit experience at a top accounting firm
- Minimum 2 years experience in due diligence group
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong excel and power point skills required.
- Ranked a top performer in peer group
