Description
Summary: Provide quality and friendly service to all customers, to all fabric lines, and work with the management team to keep the showroom polished and accomplish tasks efficiently. This is a sales position that also requires clerical and merchandising work. The Sales Associate is responsible for sales growth and supporting the management team to that end.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Takes an active role in showroom sales
- Communicates with customers to inform them of new products and changes.
- Work with designers on projects and answer any questions they might have.
- Answer phones, takes orders, checks stock, and places orders.
- Pulls memos
- Sample room work as needed
- Assist with showroom customers
- Follow up on Orders, CFA’s & expiring reserves
- Put new product on wings
- Pull discontinued product
- Price fabrics
- Answer emails
- Pull subs and help with customer email memo requests
- Fill in as needed or directed by manager
- Comply with departmental and company policies
- Use materials and equipment effectively
- Display good safety and housekeeping practices
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.

Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Good reading skills
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to stand/walk majority of day
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
- Good organization skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must be neat in appearance and dress
- Must be able to work effectively with others
- Any textile knowledge helpful
