You will not only learn about the forest industry from the ground up, but you will also gain leadership and business skills and see firsthand what it means to work with a dynamic team.
- Summer internship positions are temporary full-time positions. The come with a company vehicle and housings assistance. The duration of these positions are from mid May to mid August.

Responsibilities
All students will learn to:
- Navigate effectively across a large land base utilizing provided tools (Avenza, Field Maps)
- Manage an efficient operation
- Including managing people to meet quality and productivity standards
- Understand Northeastern forests and silviculture practices
- Gain and understanding of industrial forestry practices
- Think critically and problem solve
Planting:
- Report any safety concerns through appropriate channels
- Coordinate logistics and seedling delivery
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure a steady flow of work for crews (work orders, site surveying, inventory)
- Monitor productivity of crews
Thinning:
- Report any safety concerns through appropriate channels
- Inspecting quality of thinned blocks
- Monitor productivity of crews
- Post Operation Inventory of Stand to update land base inventory
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure steady flow of work for crews
Qualifications
- Education Required: Completion of 1st year of post-secondary education and in good academic standing
