The position will be responsible for leading dynamic teams through the design and delivery of Care Delivery Technology Services (CDTS) technology solutions within the Patient Engagement & Relationship Management, Virtual Care, and Clinician Tools. This role requires a strategic thinker who can define and articulate the vision for their products groups. This role must be able to lead cross-functional teams in the development, commercialization, and evolution of these products to deliver on clinician and broader consumer expectations across the product lifecycle. This VP must also inspire and motivate their teams through continual advancement and innovation.
- Product Vision and Strategy:
- Define long-term vision and strategy for the portfolio, and ensure it aligns with broader organizational goals and priorities
- Guide cross-functional teams in applying the portfolio’s vision and strategy to its respective product groups and products
- Establish robust processes, tools, and operating mechanisms to implement a strong product management capability able to incorporate the impact of key market, technical and clinical discoveries and trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings
- Foster a sense of continuous improvement and excellence to advance products and create value for consumers
- Drive innovation by staying up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape related to:
- Patient Engagement
- Patient Relationship Management & Patient Communication
- Patient Navigation and Access to Care throughout the health care journey
- Virtual Care & Consumer Self-service tools
- Primary Care, Specialty Care, and Urgent Care Delivery Settings
- Clinical Content Management
- Product Roadmap, Requirements, Development, and Tracking
- Lead the definition of the portfolio’s roadmap and collaborate with other portfolio leads to develop and maintain a long-term, integrated product roadmap across CDTS
- Oversee prioritization and support decision escalations across product groups and products within the portfolio
- Collaborate with CDTS experience leads to create seamless experiences across the care delivery journey related to care navigation, care delivery, virtual urgent care, self-enabled care/eVisits
- Collaborate with Customer Relationship Management and Market Operations to develop relationships with key leaders in each market and partner with them to understand and support strategic initiatives, business priorities, and program deliveries related to their product groups
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams to create, commercialize, and evolve consumer-centric products
- Collaborate with the CDTS Value Realization Office to define key performance indicators and objectives and key results that track progress toward goals
- Establish, monitor, and analyze performance to identify areas of improvement and adjustments to strategy
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision making and drive continual enhancements
- Ensure the portfolio is delivering on consumer and clinician needs throughout the product lifecycle, assuming accountability for the impacts to the portfolio’s consumers such as physicians & care teams, members & proxies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as a role model for transparency, communicating roadmaps and priorities with key internal and external stakeholders
- Work with the business to build and maintain forecasts, monitor product delivery and quality issues, examine the competitive landscape, and interact with and influence key opinion leaders.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant industry experience with product development and/or commercialization including lifecycle product management.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing, mentoring, motivating and growing a mature and goal-driven delivery team; strong history of developing people, both technically and individually.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to lead a team to create and articulate a strong product vision and strategy and carry it all the way to tactical planning and successful execution in a dynamic healthcare market
- Ability to effectively translate a large amount of complex customer, clinical, market, and technical data from multiple sources into a clear value proposition and to articulate and communicate this value proposition to a range of external and internal audiences
- Demonstrated experience leading the successful development and commercialization of complex products and solutions in new emerging and sometimes poorly defined high growth areas, leading to fast and sustainable growth.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively and quickly understand and incorporate new technologies such as clinical informatics, mobile platforms, and big data to provide a clear competitive advantage to existing portfolios and create opportunities for new products and services
- Ability to serve as a collaborative and effective partner with business and IT executives; ability to influence decisions across functions; high business acumen.
