The Exercise Physiologist is responsible for developing, scheduling, and overseeing the therapy maintenance program, which includes aquatics and gym. Responsible for researching and developing new programs for the center. Responsible for communicating with therapists about patients and establishing appropriate programs. Performs other duties assigned by department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.
Requirements:
- Bachelor in Exercise Physiologist or related field.
- Two years of experience as an exercise physiologist.
- Knowledge of exercise standards and guidelines established by the American College of Sports Medicine
- CPR certification
- Certification as either an exercise physiologist or clinical exercise physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine within 90 days of hire.
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains a work schedule that fits the needs of the client; is productive and conscientious.
- Effectively plans and administers high-quality exercise programs using professional guidelines and input from clinical staff when applicable. Able to instruct and progress clients, as well as to recognize client response and adapt plan accordingly.
- Establishes and implements protocols for specific group programs. Develops appropriate intake and testing forms as needed.
- Performs client/patient fitness assessments, trainings, and orientations.
- Establishes an ongoing relationship with both fitness and therapy and effectively transitions clients between fitness, medical exercise, and therapy.
- Seeks new program development. Communicates ideas to supervisor. Responsible for assisting in development and implementation of new programs.
- Collects and updates client testing data to show progression and outcomes for all program areas as indicated by medical fitness facility standards.
- Assists in the development of marketing materials to promote and educate the community regarding the services offered. Volunteers to help with health fairs, presentations, in-services, etc.
- Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Tuesday & Thursday: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
Pay Range:
Hourly/Non-Exempt
$20.00 - $30.00; based on work experience
