Partnership Health an outpatient Family Practice in South Brunswick is seeking an experienced LPN Nurse Manager for our offiice.
This office is open only to the employees and their families of the South Brunswick School System.
We offer onsite Family Medicine, Pharmacy, X-Ray, Physical Therapy and Behavorial Health
Duties
· Performs, properly documents and reports all procedures and assessments in accordance with PHC policy.
· Assessments and reassessments, including, response to medication/interventions.
· Performs treatments and administers medications.
· Functions appropriately in provider identified clinical emergencies and takes responsibility to facilitate patient needs for higher levels of care (activating EMS) unavailable in the health center.
· Interprets and verifies physician’s orders correctly. Demonstrates ability to assess and interpret data relative to patient age (all age groups) and takes appropriate action.
· Provides thorough and concise discharge instructions and patient education.
· Oversees and assures the continuity of patient care.
· Leads, identifies, and improves care by other members of the team.
· Actively supports performance improvement initiatives and Clinical Best Practice initiatives. Serves as a resource and encourages and promotes the learning experiences of RN’s, Medical Assistants and ancillary staff members.
· Assist the Medical Director and Director of Clinical Services in monitoring quality indicators and the developing and implementation of quality initiatives.
· Oversees and ensures completion of stocking and the maintenance of par levels and utilization logs of medical equipment.
· Responsible for scheduling schedule changes and assignments, ensuring accurate records. Responsible to give to Regional Director for review. Responsible to maintain attendance records and send to Regional Director for review. Responsible to forward all PTO requests to Regional Director for approval according to PHC policy.
· Directs staff in completing all assigned duties – assures completion of all required functions. Assures health center worked hours are according to staffing plans. Manages supplies according to par levels.
· Assumes responsibility for or delegates responsibility for follow-up of abnormal reports (Lab & Radiology).
· Uses time to motivate, encourage and grow staff members. Holds staff accountable for expected behaviors. Coaches and records staff counseling as necessary communicates to Regional Director for formal follow up as needed.
· Actively participates in patient communication. Reports all complaints and incidents to Regional Director. Participates in the investigation and follow-up of complaints or incidents. Is a customer service champion as demonstrated by keeping patients informed, providing information and updates to patients, apologizing for waits, demonstrating caring, compassion, & concern, demonstrating a sense of urgency, and ensuring that patients can get help at any time.
· Promotes positive managerial relationships. Respectful, collaborative & open communication with all staff.
· Performs other duties as assigned by Regional Director or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the Health Center.
Requirements:
License Requirements: Holds a current New Jersey LPN unrestricted license from the State of New Jersey of Law and Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs.
Minimum of two years management experience preferred.
Generally requires periods of continuous sitting, standing and walking. Requires some light lifting. Must have manual dexterity and visual acuity to perform duties. Must be able to clearly communicate with employees and vendors.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to work with other professionals and management personnel. Performs administrative and medical tasks to make sure their health center is operating effectively and efficiently. Supervises and delegates tasks. Ability to make effective decisions by assessing and evaluating information
