We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Business Affairs Intern that will assist the Business Affairs team in the drafting, coordination and implementation of commercial contracts and the processes and systems related to such contracts. If you love technology, have great organization skills and attention to detail and are keen to join an industry leader, we would love to hear from you!
What you'll do:
As a Business Affairs Intern, your key area of responsibility will be to assist the Business Affairs Managers in providing commercial contracting support to the Geotab sales and legal organizations. You will work closely with sales, operations, legal, and other internal departments. To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical skills, great attention to detail, and organization skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the ideal candidate will have the desire to learn about the commercial contracting process.
The opportunity:
- 4-12 month work-term beginning January 2026.
- Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.

How you'll make an impact:
- Updating Geotab’s processes and systems as required.
- Support coordination of ongoing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinating elements of the Deal Review process.
- Engaging internal resources as required and following up with them on deliverables.
- Drafting simple contract agreements and amendments, notice letters, etc.; reviewing and validating documents/contracts to ensure all parties involved accept the terms presented.
- Engaging Geotab Legal for contractual support.
- Taking meeting minutes (where necessary) and distributing them to the team.
- Maintaining Business Affairs milestone schedules like kickoff meetings and due dates.
- Building templates and documents.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Completing or recently completed a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies or a related field.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively multi-task.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Familiar with G Suite / MS Office Suite, Docs / MS Word: Formatting and Styles, Sheets / MS Excel: Formatting tables.
- Demonstrates good judgment, effective problem-solving, and can prioritize tasks appropriately.
- Self-motivated to complete work.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work with strict deadlines.
