The Digital Product Designer plays a key role in delivering high-quality, human-centered digital designs that improve member experiences. Digital Product Designer - Permanent

At HCF, Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund, we’re building digital experiences that put our members at the centre. We’re looking for a Digital Product Designer to join our collaborative design team in a permanent, full-time role. This role will form part of a new squad with a Product Manager and Developers, focused on designing core flows for our website—one of our most important member touchpoints. You’ll see your work go live regularly, with a direct impact on real users.

You’ll also contribute to our design system, work on new components within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and collaborate with our Brand and Content teams to explore how SEO and AEO shape the experience.

We’re a tight-knit design team who share ideas weekly, run design crits, and experiment with new tools and approaches. You’ll be supported with a growth plan tailored to your career goals and the skills you want to develop.

What you’ll do

  • Human-centred design – translate member needs and business goals into intuitive, effective digital experiences

  • Prototyping & execution – create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma

  • Collaboration – work with product managers, developers, brand and content to deliver cohesive digital experiences

  • Design systems – contribute to and extend our system, ensuring consistency across platforms

  • Research & testing – apply data, insights, and member feedback to iterate on designs

  • Accessibility & compliance – ensure all designs meet WCAG standards and healthcare regulatory requirements

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Experience delivering digital product design in complex or highly regulated industries

  • Proficiency in Figma, with strong prototyping and component creation skills

  • Human-centred design expertise, with a data-informed approach

  • Strong collaboration skills, balancing diverse perspectives

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • bias for action – you move ideas forward, encourage progress, and adapt quickly

Desirable

  • Experience designing in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

  • Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards

  • Background in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated sectors

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
