SUMMARY
Directs and coordinates the personnel, production, and packaging of products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Monday – Fridays Start time is 5:00AM - with a varying end time. Occasionally changes to work schedule may occur due to production or training needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Serve as a primary back up for the Production Manager.
- Know and follow HACCP, SOPs and SQF programs.
- Cover Team Leader responsibilities that have time off.
- Know and follow all Food Safety procedures.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment. For more information, see policy.
- Monitor cleanliness within the plant as required by HACCP.
- Assist in production activities to help insure it is running smoothly and quality is being met.
- Watch and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Support, make, and implement management decisions.
- Resolve problems and drive continuous improvement. Promote a positive work environment.
- Responsible for the compliance to production standards and product yields. Communication of results to team members.
- Evaluation of personnel.
- Management of overtime requirements.
- Evaluate, support, and ensure proper training of employees. Retrain when necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job directly supervises all personnel involved in the production and packaging of Mrs. Gerry’s products.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily in both English and Spanish. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two-year certificate from college or, other related technical field with five years of supervisory experience in an operations environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in both English and Spanish. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in both languages. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization in both English and Spanish. Must exhibit a fluent or native level of knowledge of the Spanish language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Employee must have a pallet jack and forklift license.
- Employee must be trained to perform first aid and CPR.
