Under limited supervision the Clinical Quality Value Analyst plays a crucial role in optimizing the hospital's clinical operations by conducting comprehensive evaluations of medical supplies, equipment, and services to ensure standardization, cost-effectiveness, quality outcomes, and alignment with patient care goals. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to make data-driven decisions that positively impact patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clinical staff, physicians, nurses, and other relevant stakeholders to assess the effectiveness and appropriateness of existing and potential medical products and services.
- Assist in leading clinically integrated value analysis meetings for the Multi-Specialty and Research Hospital. Assist in project management of medical equipment and consumable supplies for ongoing projects and growth of the organization.
- Evaluate the clinical and financial impact of proposed changes to products, supplies, and equipment, considering patient safety and quality of care.
- Analyze data related to product utilization, cost, quality, and outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, summaries, and recommendations to leadership and clinical teams based on analysis findings.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators to measure the success of implemented changes.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Stay informed about industry trends, innovations, and advancements to ensure the hospital remains current with the latest technologies and practices.
- Work closely with clinicians, nurses, administrators, procurement teams, and finance departments to foster effective communication and cooperation.
- Participate in interdisciplinary committees and meetings to provide expertise on clinical value analysis matters.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to streamline value analysis workflows.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency in decision-making processes.
- Provide training to clinical staff on value analysis processes, decision-making criteria, and cost-effective alternatives.
- Develop educational materials to increase awareness of value analysis principles across the organization.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or a related field
