You will work as part of the systems team to drive systems engineering best practice within technical development projects.
Who we are
You'll spend your time:
- Defining validation and management of system subsystem and components requirements
- Analysing the functional requirements and non-functional requirements
- Creating and managing system integration and verification plans
- Integrating systems including commercial off-the-shelf equipment with custom hardware • Undertaking lab-based testing of systems against simulations and hardware devices as appropriate
- Collaborating with team members to design the system and managing the technical aspect of design changes
- Interacting with clients, partner companies and partner institutions
- Developing model representations of systems and platforms, this includes requirements, functional, plant and control models that represents those systems within a digital twin of the platform
- Developing strategies to use modelling to optimise verification validation demonstration and trials activity
- Undertaking model verification activities using real world data
The key experience we're looking for:
- STEM degree (BEng / MEng)
- Experience of logical and mathematical based modelling tool SysML and OPM, MATLAB
- Experience of managing system architectural models • Experience of analysing system performance
- Knowledge of requirement flow-down and managing traceability
- Experience of requirement management tools such as IBM Doors and Windchill RV&S
- Experience of developing and working to design requirements
- Experience in planning developing and managing verification activities
- Experience of in planning commissioning, operation and maintenance
- Understanding of MBSE principles and toolsets
The following would be advantageous:
- INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification
- An understanding of electrical engineering
- An understanding of control systems and control theory
- Experience of programming (C++ or python)
- Experience of certification processes
