Maintenance Mechanic for maintaining and repairing equipment in our machine shop and manufacturing facilities. This role provides hands-on experience in various maintenance tasks, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing carpentry, safety, grounds maintenance, and housekeeping.
Work Schedule: 1st shift, 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform electrical work to include replacing bulbs and ballasts; check and maintain emergency lighting; inspect, repair, and replace lighting contactors.
- Inspect and troubleshoot disconnects, circuit breakers, outlets, switches, alarm wiring, phone wiring, IT wiring.
- Provide air and power for new or relocated equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, clean HVAC units, draft fans, fan motors, damper motors, and filters.
- Interact with HVAC contractor when spring and fall tune-ups occur.
- Retain and maintain the maintenance service logs, schedule appropriate repairs on all equipment.
- Monitor oil levels, clean coolers and drains in the air compressors; communicate with outside contractors to schedule oil and filter inspections/changes.
- Change oils and filters on generators at proper intervals, steam clean engine generator and radiator annually.
- Maintain, diagnose, and repair basic mechanical equipment.
- Maintain safety-related equipment and procedures.
- Calculate supplies and materials needed: pipe, wiring, conduit, etc. and submit purchase requisition to the manufacturing manager.
- Complete special projects alone as time allows.
- Schedule overtime using work request backlog and estimate time frames as guidelines.
- Perform janitorial duties as needed.
- Coordinate safety projects as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Attention to detail, good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Works well with others and is a team player.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in maintenance and repair in a manufacturing plant.
EXPERIENCE:
- High School Degree or equivalent, relevant technical or vocational program in maintenance-related fields.
- PLC experience or programming logic a plus.
- 3-5 years’ experience in CNC tool machine maintenance, electrical and mechanical.
- Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.

Work Environment
Moderate to frequent exposure to shop environment; may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, fumes, chemicals, noise and moving parts. Work typically requires the usage of PPE and can require work on the facility’s production floor or customer’s production environment.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl and move about facility and/or customer’s facilities. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
