POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking an AVP, Learning Foundations & Learning Deployment based in Indianapolis. The AVP, Learning Foundations & Learning Deployment is responsible for designing and owning all strategic talent initiatives. They will lead a small support team (initially one direct report) and be responsible for their coordination, deployment, and administration. The AVP, Learning Foundations & Learning Deployment will work in close collaboration with the global People Development team, as well as external vendors and consultants. Their focus will be to align with key business leaders and HR Business Partners, actively seeking input and incorporating the voice-of-the-customer perspective.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Personally design, develop, and facilitate the portfolio of leadership programs with the direct goal of improving leadership depth and succession readiness for critical roles
- Own and lead the talent review and succession planning processes from end to end, personally facilitating calibration sessions and consulting with senior leaders on development planning
- Develop the strategy for diagnosing and closing key organizational skill gaps, including the personal design of learning solutions and career materials to enhance workforce capabilities
- Drive the evolution of the performance management framework ("Perform & Grow") and lead the analysis of engagement survey data to foster a culture of high performance
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for all global and regional talent programs, directing the support team's administrative and executional activities to ensure successful deployment
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required
- 10+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in Talent Management, Leadership Development, or Organizational Development within a complex organization
- Experience (formal or informal) in delegating tasks and managing the work of others, with a passion for coaching and growing support talent
- Strong commercial mindset and can articulate the value of talent initiatives, using data to measure impact and tell a compelling story
