Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Coordinator to lead the development and maintenance of a local Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and environmental management system at our production site in Winsted, MN. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Group OHS Policy and all applicable local legal requirements, while actively promoting and strengthening a culture of safety across the Production Centre.

The SHE Coordinator will be a key member of the Factory Leadership Team and will be office based in Winsted, MN.

What you will do

As a Safety, Health & Environmental Coordinator, you will:

  • Supports the Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Manager in maintaining systems that ensure site compliance with Group OHS and Environmental procedures, training programs, and local legislation. Stays up to date with relevant legal and corporate requirements. 
  • Maintains the MyOHS system by accurately recording accidents and incidents, and tracking the completion of follow-up actions. Collaborates with relevant teams to ensure thorough investigations, root cause analyses, and implementation of effective corrective actions.
  • Participates in and facilitates the development of employees through Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) training programs, addressing key workplace risks and ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements.
  • Ensure procedures are regularly updated to meet defined process standards and comply with legal requirements.
  • Lead or actively participate in the Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Pillar initiatives.
  • Contribute to and lead improvement teams and audits to identify and close compliance and performance gaps.
  • Assist in maintaining up-to-date safety, environmental, and OSHA-related certifications and documentation.
  • Serve as a leader or member of the Emergency Response Team, supporting preparedness and response efforts.
  • Foster timely communication, promote a positive safety culture, and encourage active employee involvement in SHE initiatives.

We believe you have

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • 2-3 month OHS course (Diploma level) covering detailed understanding of local legal requirements, main risks and control measures.
  • Ideally 1-3 years’ experience in a similar OHS- or SHE role at a medium sized factory.
  • High level of understanding of WCM methodology.
  • Knowledge of Occupational safety and health programs and management systems.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

Pay Equity

Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.

Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include overtime, annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances. 

 

Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $70,100.00– $100, 000.00.

Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS.
