MR Driver – Join a leading national team delivering secure and sustainable solutions!
Are you reliable, hands-on, and enjoy staying active throughout your workday? Shred-X is looking for a safety-focused and customer-oriented MR Driver to join our team in Laverton North, Melbourne.
As part of the Freightways Group, one of Australasia’s leading logistics and information management companies, Shred-X is a national leader in secure document destruction, product disposal, and recycling services. We’re seeking a motivated team member who thrives on independence, takes pride in their work, and plays a key role in delivering top-tier customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Drive a company-branded MR truck to deliver and collect secure destruction bins and materials.
- Service a diverse client base across various industries, including handling e-waste, archive boxes, textiles, and pallets.
- Safely manage bins weighing up to 100kg – an ideal role for someone who enjoys physical work.
- Use a PDA device to accurately record collections and service tasks.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness and cleanliness.
- Represent Shred-X professionally on-site, ensuring top-tier customer interaction.
- Follow all company policies, WHS standards, chain of responsibility, and client-specific procedures.
What You Bring
- A valid Medium Rigid (MR) truck license with a clean driving history.
- Previous experience in a physical driving role (e.g. freight or removalist-style work).
- Safe manual handling skills and physical fitness.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Comfortable with using handheld devices (PDA or similar tech).
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

- Full-time, stable employment in a growing and respected industry leader
- Monday to Friday role – rare weekend work
- 45-hour week with 7 hours at time-and-a-half pay guaranteed weekly
