The Role:

Communicare are looking for a Clinical and Therapeutic Lead to join our dynamic Therapeutic Services Team on a full-time permanent capacity in our Cannington office, with travel between Perth metro sites required.

This position entails the successful leadership and management of Communicare’s range of counselling and therapeutic programs. As the Lead, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality services by identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Fostering strategic relationships and partnerships to elevate service delivery and implement innovative initiatives

  • Identifying and nurturing growth opportunities aligned with Communicare’s strategic plan.

  • Providing values-driven leadership, clinical and professional supervision to staff within programs, ensuring the delivery of exceptional services.

  • Supporting the development and implementation of a clinical governance framework

 

Your Experience

You’ll hold a tertiary qualification in psychology or a related field, with eligible registration through AHPRA, ACA, or another relevant professional body. In addition, your experience will reflect:

  • Leadership in complex service environments: A proven ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams across diverse areas within the community services sector, fostering collaboration and high performance.

  • Clinical expertise: Demonstrated experience in providing clinical supervision and delivering counselling or therapeutic interventions, with a strong grounding in evidence-based practices.

  • Specialist knowledge in family and relationship therapy: Deep understanding of therapeutic approaches, particularly in the context of family violence and child protection, supported by familiarity with relevant legislative frameworks.

  • Stakeholder engagement and advocacy: Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while championing principles of harm minimisation, social justice, and ethical practice.

  • Operational and strategic capability: Experience in risk management, emergency response planning, and change management, with a clear understanding of contract and compliance obligations.
