The Team
The Finance/Accounts team is a tightknit team of 9 providing support to the firm nationally. This role will work closely with our five other Accounts Clerks, two Accountants and our Head of Finance who are all based in Brisbane.
The Role
You will work collaboratively in the team and be responsible for staff reimbursements, general ledger prepayments reconciliation and posting, bank account verification, dormant trust follow-up and archiving.
In addition to these key responsibilities, you will be required to provide assistance as needed to other areas/members of the accounts department to ensure that everyone in the team is able to cover all duties during leave absences of other team members. Training will be facilitated for additional responsibilities outside of the primary role.
This role is immediately available. It is a part-time 4 day per week role, working 3-4 hours each day on a 4-month contract – with the possibility of extension. We are open to other flexibility should we feel it meets the needs of this role.
About you
We’re seeking a driven and experienced Accounts Clerk who is keen to support a talented and busy team. To be successful in this role you will need a good working knowledge of excel, excellent communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly. Legal accounting experience is preferable although not essential.
