Student Intern – Multimedia Designer
Start date: January/March/April 2026
End date: August/ September (only for MSc students) 2026
Hybrid role requiring the successful candidate to be on site 50% of the month in Little Island, Cork.
About the team and role

At Lilly, the Health Literature Communication team has a mission to create clear, inclusive, and accessible materials that support understanding and foster confidence, ensuring every participant feel recognised, valued and empowered throughout their clinical trial journey.

You can learn about the innovative treatments developed at Lilly, understand the process of developing clear, patient-friendly materials that directly support clinical trial engagement and retention, build therapeutic area knowledge, and enhance your project management skills in a purpose-driven, inclusive environment.
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Video & Print Production Intern to support our Patient Engagement team in the development and organization of multimedia materials for clinical trials. This role is ideal for someone passionate about visual storytelling, healthcare communication, and content organization.
You’ll work closely with our video and print production specialists to help prepare, organize, and maintain a growing library of assets that support patient access, engagement, and retention in clinical research — all while applying principles of health literacy and inclusive design.
Responsibilities:
- Support the organization, tagging, and version control of digital assets in our internal library.
- Leverage and help create templates to ensure consistency and visual appeal across materials.
- Assist in the recording, editing, and encoding of video files for patient and internal communications.
- Create and edit a variety of digital content, including:
- Static images (e.g., infographics, illustrations)
- Videos (e.g., animations, motion graphics, post-production)
- Interactive content (e.g., web pages, interactive videos)
- Apply best practices from the Lilly Brandbook and contribute to the development of a future-state style guide for patient-facing materials.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Production, Communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency or familiarity with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in healthcare, clinical trials, or patient advocacy is a plus.
- Understanding of visual design principles for health literacy is a strong advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
