Quality Control Head
Objective
Responsible for leading all quality inspection and control activities within the plant to ensure that aluminum blocks and processes meet internal standards and customer requirements. This role manages a team of inspectors and technicians, coordinates daily quality checks in production, and ensures effective containment, traceability, and communication of issues. The QC Head plays a critical role in protecting customers from defects and in supporting operations with fast response and robust control methods.
Main Responsibilities
- Team & Daily Management: Lead, schedule, and develop QC inspectors and technicians across shifts, ensuring inspections, audits, and quality gates are properly executed with adequate staffing and training.
- Inspection & Control: Oversee dimensional, visual, and functional checks of aluminum blocks and processes, ensuring correct usage and calibration of measurement equipment, strict traceability, and effective management of nonconforming product.
- Problem Detection & Containment: React promptly to shop-floor nonconformities through containment and segregation, support root cause analysis and corrective actions, and ensure customer protection via robust verification and follow-up.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to control plans, work instructions, and inspection standards, while reporting quality performance, defect trends, and inspection results to leadership and providing data for audits.
- Continuous Improvement & Culture: Identify recurring defects, propose process improvements, and foster quality awareness by supporting training programs and promoting discipline among production teams.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in quality control or manufacturing, preferably in automotive
- Strong knowledge in inspection processes, gauges, and measurement systems.
Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, PPAP, and APQP requirements - Technical Competences: Internal Auditor
- Soft Competences: Leadership, Conflict Management Communication, Negotiation, Decision making, Strategic Agility
- Language: English (full bilingual proficiency)
