Position Mission
We are looking for a highly motivated National Account Manager to help scale our growing business while providing exceptional customer service. This is a telecommuter or hybrid or opportunity depending on the final candidate’s location from the company's office.
You will be a critical resource on our TDCIS Business Development team and will be responsible for growing the business by providing a positive experience for our emerging and growing members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Advanced insurance education is a plus.
- P&C License is a plus.
- Two (2) years in agency operations, insurance prospecting sales, and client service.
- The ability to think independently and overall self-management with minimal oversight.
- Excellent telephone, oral and written communication skills.
- Proven skill to sell product effectively, being prepared for any sales situation that presents itself.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with diverse personalities and individuals at all levels.
- Ability to use a personal computer to create letters, memos, reports and moderately complex spreadsheets.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and set variables.
- Ability to travel when necessary.
Responsibilities
New Business Production
- Obtains information needed to recommend appropriate coverage.
- Identifies exposures/opportunities and presents coverage options to decision maker.
- Sets servicing/relationship expectations.
- Sells additional insurance policies to existing accounts as outlined above.
- Oversees available markets and coverage options and works with regions to support growth and retention
- Support platforms for collaboration and implementation of direct sales strategy.
Policy Renewal
- Nurtures relationship with decision makers.
- Collaborates with team to set expectations and manage placement and renewal process.
- Collaborates with team to package information to obtain favorable terms.
- Presents terms to client.
- Coordinates renewal sales process.
Account Servicing
- Responds to incoming member needs by gathering appropriate information, setting expectations and managing the process to completion.
- Works with appropriate stakeholders (internal and external) to complete member service requirements.
- Keeps member informed about the progress of request as appropriate.
- Informs appropriate stakeholders about change so that all aspects of account that are impacted can respond accordingly.
- Informs member as to outcome of request as appropriate.
- Manages incoming mail and faxes.
Business Systems and Process Improvement
- In partnership with the IT, regions and direct sales, develop and support automated systems that increase efficiency of sales and service for direct business.
- Ensures system functionality meets direct business requirement and coordinates enhancements as needed.
- Analyzes systems effectiveness by soliciting feedback from end users and eliminates barriers to performance.
- Coordinates implementation of direct sales policies, practices and procedures in coordination with regions and national direct sales.
Other duties as assigned
- Accept delegated tasks willingly and follow through on assignments with accountability and attention to detail.
- Take on various projects and assignments from management, ensuring timely completion and alignment with company goals.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on assigned projects, meeting deadlines and delivering quality results.
- Assist with department and company-wide initiatives, including research, surveys, audits, and process improvements.
- Stay flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational objectives.
- Support business process optimization and efficiency by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions as needed.
Salary Range: $58,590 - $76,899. Compensation varies based on skills, knowledge, and education. We consider factors such as specialized skills, depth of knowledge in the field, and educational background to ensure fair and competitive pay.
