V.I.E. Assistant relationship manager
Responsibilities
Societe Generale Global Transaction Payments and Services (GTPS) encompasses corporate cash management, cash clearing, trade finance, factoring and foreign exchange services associated with these activities.
As a major player in Cash Clearing services, we rely on our strong presence in both Europe and emerging markets worldwide. Societe Generale is a leader for EUR (number 1 in France and number 3 in Europe) and offers competitive clearing solutions in XOF, RON, CZK and MAD through its local subsidiaries. We also actively promote tailor-made FX solutions to North American banks.
Mission: support the Relationship Manager to promote the non USD Cash Clearing services with the North American banks and provide a back-up when the RM is visiting clients
- Answer day-to-day clients requests in close coordination with the SG Paris services
- Assist RM for the preparation of business trips and seminars (fiches SIBOS)
- Maintain the clients contacts database and contribute to the pipeline report regular feeding
- Help the KYC team requests to obtain the requested info from clients
- Coordinate the accounts opening/ closure and the implementation of new services with the clients and SG Head Office departments
- Prepare answers to RFPs, due diligences and contributes to the preparation of Business Reviews

Profile required

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in finance
- A previous experience in banking would be appreciated
Language skills:
- Fluent in English
Operational, technical & soft skills:
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in New York is to begin November 1st, 2025, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
