Main Purpose:
We are looking for an outstanding Oil Strategic Systems Programme Manager in Geneva, to own the end-to-end delivery of the new Oil & LNG trading solution, orchestrating multiple programmes across front-, mid- and back-office functions. Drive planning, governance and execution so that the solution lands on time, on budget, and fully integrated within a complex multi-application landscape.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Math, Business Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
Over 10 years of IT experience with a strong focus on IT projects within the commodity trading domain.
At least 5 years of proven experience managing large-scale programmes
Deep understanding of commodity trading processes, including physical and financial trading, risk management, logistics, and back-office operations
Demonstrable experience in improving internal IT processes for increased efficiency
Experience in various IT roles such as engineering, architecture, quality assurance, and business analysis is advantageous
Strong proficiency in programme and project management methodologies and tools
Familiarity with key technology principles, including architecture, technology strategy, technology operations, software engineering, and continuous improvement
Proven ability to lead cross-functional distributed teams in a dynamic, multi-cultural environment
Outstanding skills in influencing mid and senior-level management to make tactical and strategic decisions
Outstanding judgment and ability to evaluate options under unparalleled circumstances
Proven expertise in delivering concurrent activities with tight deadlines
High level of integrity, energy, and urgency to get results
Excellent teamwork and the ability to influence and engage others
Comfortable presenting information in both virtual and in-person environments
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Alignment
Ensure continuous alignment between organisational goals and programme objectives
Programme Coordination and Management
Own the programme plan and coordinate all associated activities to achieve programme goals
Manage programme timelines, deliverables, and interdependent projects
Facilitate collaboration among project teams and manage programme risks
Identify and enforce programme adherence to standards and governance
Monitoring and Evaluation
Guide the PMO team in supervising program activities and revising the program plan
Identify, measure, and monitor important metrics
Resolve program problems and delays, optimizing internal processes to improve performance
Manage the programme budget efficiently
Communication and Stakeholder Management
Design and supervise the communication strategy for interested parties
Provide updates on program status and performance to the executive team and senior business leaders
Ensure user feedback is incorporated into the programme
Leadership and Team Coordination
Act as project manager for the product management team, ensuring key deliverables are achieved
Continuously refine internal processes to shorten time to market, enhance quality, lower costs, and elevate value delivery to business team members
