The Financial Accountant will be an integral member of the Finance Team based in Manchester.
This role is pivotal within the Private Wealth and Consulting division, which is at the heart of the Chase de Vere Advisory Business. Additionally, the position encompasses financial control of the Central Operations functions, making it an integral part of the Manchester Finance Team.
This role will be 18 hours over 3 days per week
WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE
- Assisting in the production and submission of statutory accounts.
- Handle Companies House submissions, including annual returns and share issues.
- Documentation of Dividend strategy and payments
- Supporting the calculation of variable remuneration
- Contributing to half-yearly and yearly financial reporting to the Group
- Conduct financial analysis to meet the requirements of the UK business.
- Aid in company budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare and post several month-end journals.
- To support IFRS16 accounting postings.
- Assist with the year-end audit and interim audit.
- Provide support for adviser remuneration inquiries.
- Assist with tax Computations
- Address queries from Finance Queries help desk.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent qualification desirable
- Understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS
- Previous experience working in a finance department preferably in the Financial Services sector.
- Experience on budgeting and forecasting
- Production of statutory accounts ideally using software such as Caseware or similar.
- A basic understanding of UK company tax returns would be advantageous.
