We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Analyst – Shift Operations to join our IT Operations team. The role involves managing critical shift-based operations, adhering to ITIL processes, monitoring infrastructure systems, and performing first-level support tasks with a foundational understanding of networking and security concepts.
What you’ll do
Shift Operations:
Monitor infrastructure systems and services during assigned shifts.
Respond to alerts, incidents, and outages in a timely and effective manner.
Ensure proper handover during shift transitions with detailed documentation.
ITIL Process Execution:
Adhere to ITIL best practices, specifically in Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request management.
Log, categorize, and escalate incidents or service requests as per defined SLAs.
Participate in root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
Technical Tasks:
Perform initial triage and troubleshooting of network and firewall issues
Support basic security monitoring and incident response processes.
Escalate unresolved technical issues to L2/L3 support teams.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate operational logs, incident reports, and knowledge base entries.
Generate shift summary reports and communicate key issues effectively.
What you’ll need
3–5 years of experience in IT operations, technical support, or NOC/SOC environment.
Familiarity with ITIL framework; ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
Basic understanding of:
Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPN)
Security concepts (SIEM tools, Firewalls)
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Spectrum, SolarWinds, Zabbix, or similar).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to work in 24/7 rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: ITIL Foundation
Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira Service Management.
Work Environment:
Rotational shift-based work environment, including weekends and holidays.
Fast-paced, highly available IT infrastructure setting.
