About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Area Manager – Local Modern Trade (LMT) to lead our commercial operations across Sumatra. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing relationships with modern trade outlets, and leading a team of Sales Representatives. This role is key to executing our commercial strategy and expanding our footprint in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies tailored to the Sumatra market
- Build strong relationships with modern trade outlets (e.g., minimarkets, local retail chains)
- Achieve sales targets and promotional objectives across the region
- Identify and grow high-potential accounts to expand market coverage
- Ensure optimal product distribution, brand visibility, and pricing alignment
- Lead trade negotiations with store owners and retail partners
- Foster long-term relationships to drive sustainable growth
- Manage, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Representatives to deliver results
Who We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in managing Local Modern Trade accounts (e.g., minimarkets, local retail chains)
- Proven success in the FMCG industry
- Strong strategic thinking and hands-on operational execution
- Experience in leading and developing sales teams
- Proficiency in MS Excel and managing sales budgets
- Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
