Grid Management – System Optimization department is looking for an Energy Forecasting & Grid Optimization Engineer

 

 

What you will do:

 

  • Support the development and execution of forecasting models for energy consumption and distributed generation, including the integration of meteorological, to improve and optimize grid operation and support energy transition. Candidate will help in daily validation and monitoring of predictive tools, ensuring data consistency and reliability;
  • Contribute to the analysis of grid behaviour under different operational scenarios, including seasonal variations and the impact of national holidays;
  • Participate in the implementation and evaluation of innovative grid solutions, such as Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) systems, aimed at improving operational flexibility and reducing losses;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives in system optimization, including the preparation of technical documentation and reporting; This will include participation in innovative projects that will shape energy future
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities to enhance forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency.

What are we looking for:

 

  • Degree/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, with specialization in Power Systems and Grid Management (other Engineering degrees, with relevant experience to the position, will also be considered.);
  • Up to 3 years of professional experience
  • Experience in grid management, system optimization, or energy systems will be valued
  • Knowledge of predictive modelling, data analysis, or operational support in energy distribution environments
