Bethany for Children & Families is looking for an energetic, welcoming, and organized Receptionist to join our amazing crew at Bridgeview Community Mental Health Center in Clinton, Iowa!

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing (Your Everyday Superpowers)
- Answering phones, screening calls, delivering messages, and directing emergencies appropriately.
- Greeting clients and visitors like the rockstar host you are.
- Updating patient demographics and insurance info (organization = your superpower).
- Scheduling intakes and appointments + making daily reminder calls.
- Collecting payments and posting them during check-in.
- Making sure all paperwork is squared away before appointments.
- Collaborating with staff and community partners.
- Representing the agency with professionalism and warmth.
- Pitching in for meetings, trainings, and new tasks with flexibility and a positive attitude.
- Showing patience, respect, and fairness to everyone who walks through the door.
Requirements
What We’d Love to See in You
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; some post-secondary education preferred.
- Experience: At least one year of office experience or basic business training required; experience in a medical office or mental health setting is a plus.
Skills:
- Comfortable answering multiple phone lines.
- Organized and flexible with shifting priorities.
- Computer savvy and quick to learn new systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to work cooperatively with staff and connect with clients/families in a compassionate way.
- Highly professional in both manner and appearance.
- Ability to stay calm and collected in a fast-paced environment.
