About the Role 

We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to lead key HR functions with a primary focus on employee relations in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment. This hands-on leader will serve as a strategic advisor, coach, and problem-solver, ensuring positive employee experiences, legal compliance, and consistent application of HR policies and practices across the organization. 

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, is deeply experienced in managing complex employee relations issues, and understands the unique challenges and culture of manufacturing operations. You’ll work closely with frontline leaders and senior management to foster a respectful, high-performance workplace culture. This role offers a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote), combining flexibility with manager collaboration.

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, investigations, and conflict resolution with a balanced, fair, and legally sound approach covering three physical locations, as well as supporting remote employees across the Eastern US.  
  • Provide proactive coaching and guidance to managers on performance management, discipline, terminations, and workplace conduct. 
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.). 
  • Identify and address trends in employee relations issues; recommend and implement solutions to improve workplace culture and engagement. 
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on ER best practices, offering training and resources for leaders and HR team members. 
  • Partner with site and department leadership to align HR strategies with business goals, particularly in areas of team performance, workforce planning, and organizational development. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to plant and operations leadership, providing strategic insight on people-related matters. 
  • Support change management and cultural initiatives across the organization. 
  • Maintain and update HR policies, and procedures in line with legal changes and company practices. 
  • Oversee internal audits related to compliance, documentation, and labor standards. 
  • Champion talent development, succession planning, and retention strategies in collaboration with leadership and HR peers. 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred. 
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 3+ years focused on employee relations. 
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required; familiarity with plant-based operations, shift schedules, and hourly workforce dynamics. 
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, regulatory compliance, and workplace investigations. 
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and coach managers at all levels of the organization. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced setting.
