Job Description:In this role, the Sr. Data Diagnostician (Oil Condition Monitoring) will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the client’s oil analysis program, from analysis to reporting and maintenance recommendations. The Diagnostician will also be responsible for analyzing used oil samples to identify potential problems within machinery. Using your experience and application knowledge and understanding of lubrication and asset’s reliability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights for our clients. The expertise will be critical in preventing equipment failures, reducing maintenance costs, and extending the lifespan of valuable assets.
- Oversee the fluid analysis program, including laboratory analysis, and data interpretation.
- Analyze samples to identify signs of wear, contamination, and potential equipment failures.
- Diagnose the root cause of equipment problems based on analysis results and other condition monitoring data.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance recommendations based on findings.
- Track trends in analysis data and identify opportunities for program improvement.
- Liaise with clients (maintenance, operations, engineering) to communicate findings and to provide recommendations on sampling techniques, frequency and other items to facilitate the fluid analysis program.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in testing, analysis and condition monitoring technologies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the organization.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- Assist in the development of auto-diagnostic tables and commentary
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (Science or Engineering) or combination of education and experience (Required)
- 5+ years of laboratory experience in the data analysis or diagnostics. (Required)
- Previous mechanical experience or aptitude (Preferred)
- Previous supervisory experience ( Preferred)
