This position plays a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making processes, generating insights, and providing strategic guidance to optimize business operations across BIA globally. This position requires expertise in forecasting, decision support, research, statistical analysis, real-world data analysis, digital analytics, and measurement. Will collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize advanced analytical techniques to enhance business performance and drive growth.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis and interpretation of complex data sets to derive meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Drive value for clients by optimizing/managing business processes, synthesizing data at regular intervals, maintaining high quality standards, applying automation using cutting edge technology, performing analyses, updating business rules, presenting results to stakeholders, answering queries on deliverables and generating focused insights.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business problems, goals and KPIs to develop analytical frameworks.
  • Conduct research and collect real-world data from multiple sources to support business strategies and decision-making.
  • Perform statistical analyses, data mining and predictive modelling to uncover trends and correlations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to design & implement digital analytics initiatives & measurement frameworks to optimize marketing campaigns and customer engagement.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to your team members.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to develop & enhance data infrastructure, data pipelines & analytical tools for efficient data collection, processing and analysis.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies.

Skills and competencies

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
  •  Strong ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Solid understanding of digital analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear manner.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Experience in working with real-world data (including clinical and healthcare), large datasets, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau etc.), and statistical software packages (e.g. R, Python, SAS).

Experience

  • We welcome candidates with a wide range of degrees & background, though sustained success with a significant volume of analytic & quantitative coursework is required.
  • Successful applicants have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or similar.
  • Proven experience (typically 1 to 3 years) in a similar business analyst role, preferably within the biopharma or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the biopharma industry.
  • Experience with real-world data analysis, digital analytics, and market research methodologies.
  •  Certification or training in relevant analytics or business intelligence tools is a plus.
