The National Western Center (NWC) is a reimagined 250-acre campus in Denver, Colorado with a vision to be the global destination for food and agricultural discovery. The opportunity:
NWC is in search of a Conversion & Room Set Manager that can be ready on day one to be able to jump in on multiple fronts. This job will ensure efficient and effective use of event space by managing the setup, reset, teardown and overall transformation of rooms to meet the event needs. They will have an oversight of event equipment movement and storage. Providing all training needed to meet guidelines and standards at City, State and Federal levels and oversight, they will support policies, goals, and objectives established by the COO.

What you will do:
o Manage all information for the department, organize and assign workloads for events and staff needed for that to be completed related to setting up, resets and teardown.
o Having a strong knowledge of room sets and code in Denver, you should have a strong knowledge of sets like conferences, banquets, concerts, tradeshows, sport events and other events.
o Implementing and managing the execution of room sets to event specifications, this includes chairs, tables, staging, partition walls, event furniture, fencing indoor and outdoor.
o Inventory control of equipment, managing storage, tools, doing audits for accounting of equipment and a maintenance program.
o Have all storage clean and orderly, make sure equipment clean, safely functioning is show ready when set.
o Training and development for NWC standards and working closely with other event departments making sure that all coordination and timing is planned for on set up and strike.
o Other duties as assigned.
What you will bring along:
· Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
· 3-5 years of industry experience
· Have lead teams of all sizes with multiple crews at the same time in an organized and functional manner with proven experience in event conversions, room set ups, in a supervisory role.
· Forklift and other equipment use and training.
· Strong organizational processes, tracking multiple events needs and staffing to accomplish tasks.
· Experience in Arena, Convention, Stadium is helpful.
· This role is physically demanding, requiring standing, walking, lifting, bending for long periods of time.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· High EQ and interpersonal skills.

Work location and hours:
This position can be performed through a mix of on-site and remote work in Denver, Colorado.
Compensation range:
The starting salary is $85,000 – $90,000

The brand-new Stockyards Event Center is a multipurpose space with two arenas, ample parking and views of the Rocky Mountains and the Denver skyline. In 2018, the campus partners created the National Western Center Authority, a nonprofit organization responsible for operating, maintaining, programming, and promoting the National Western Center. The Authority is the primary entity responsible for ensuring the National Western Center achieves its mission. It is also responsible for developing a community investment fund benefiting the residents of the Globeville, Elyria and Swansea neighborhoods in which the campus is located. The Authority’s work is well underway in preparation for buildings being completed and the larger campus opening to the public. The Authority is guided by a 13-member board of directors. The Authority is doing business as (DBA) the National Western Center.
