Job Purpose and Function 
  
The Food Service Operations Coordinator will provide support to the Sr. Manager, Food Service to ensure smooth and efficient management of the food service program. This role will provide support that includes, but is not limited to, preparation for training sessions, manage new item forms for new products and substitutions, job aid creation and performing updates, day-to-day vendor discussions/meetings on supply chain, assisting with store-level training as needed, updating foodservice equipment settings as needed, maintains the Core Mark and US Foods Order Guides and ensures accuracy, assists with menu updates, and participates in new store opening events and overall support. 
  
This role requires a working knowledge of food service and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently on priorities, communicate status effectively, and possess the ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.  This role is highly collaborative with other departments that include Operations, Training, Marketing, and Pricebook, and such collaboration is essential to success in this role.  Other skill sets include financial acumen to understand and manage food costs/margins, organization, attention to detail, and analytics are required.  
  
Success in this position will be measured by supporting food service sales and through achieving support goals as assigned and managing vendor supply chain for foodservice products, supplies, and packaging and communicating issues as discovered. As well as completing assigned work priorities and collaborating with other departments to achieve goals and drive results within the business. 
  
How You’ll Make an Impact  
  • New store orders and maintain order guides – Places all food service orders for new store openings and manages the vendor order guides for accuracy and completeness at all times. 
  • Support store level food service operations - Ensures all food service equipment settings are accurate and updated based on the foodservice menu. Works with Operational team as needed to assist.  From time to time, it provides site level support to food service teams to include training and/or new product roll outs. 
  • Food Program Management - Holds weekly vendor calls to ensure adequate supply chain on food ingredients and packaging. Communicates to Sr. Manager, Food Service status on an ongoing basis and acts as primary point of contact for store-related foodservice issues. Create, refine, and adjust job aids as needed. 
  • Site Visits/Go Events - Routinely visit Dash In locations to ensure compliance with the foodservice program quality, accuracy, availability and timeliness of operational food service execution.  Provides feedback to the Sr. Manager, Food Service. Assists store teams during Grand Opening Events and New Store Openings. 
  • Food Rollouts/Train the Trainer - Supports the Sr. Manager, Food Service with training session preparation and new food service rollouts as assigned. Utilizes the training center for operational and quality testing as required. 
  • Analytics and communication - Supports the Sr. Manager, Food Service through gaining food service sales insights via use of analytical tools (PDI Insights + Power BI).  Assists in developing presentations for meetings and stewardship sessions. 
  
What We’re Looking For  
Basic Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality; equivalent relevant progressive experience and a minimum of high school diploma will also be considered. 
  • Minimum 3-years experience managing food service operations 
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship or C2C opportunities not available at this time).  
  • Basic knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and quality standards. 
  • Experience managing supply chain operations, including vendor and delivery coordination 
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.

Availability and Travel   
  • This hybrid role complies with our company’s hybrid telework schedule. Our operating days and hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with in-office days being Tuesday through Thursday, reserving Monday and Friday as work-from-home. 
  • Occasionally, business needs may require periodic work obligations outside of core business hours. 
  • This role may require occasional travel, including overnight stays for training, conferences, or other events with reimbursement available for approved accommodations and/or expenses 
  • This role is eligible to participate in our motor vehicle reimbursement program, Motus, and will require annual participation in a MVR check to remain eligible.
