Oberlin High School in Lorain County is looking for a Junior Varsity Mens Basketball Coach. Previous coaching experience is preferred but not required. The JV coach must be organized, hard-working, and demonstrate a strong desire to help build a program at all levels. The JV coach will help oversee all phases of the mens basketball program including, but not limited to, player development, monitoring academic success, staff development and mentoring, college recruiting process, community relations, and equipment inventory.
The successful candidate will provide leadership to the team that achieves academic and athletic success on a consistent basis. The JV coach monitors academic progress; develops training programs that are safe and effective for student-athletes; schedules games and practices in accordance with school policies.
Employment is pursuant upon appropriate background checks and the obtainment of proper CPR, Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion Management Training, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and Pupil Activity Supervision Licensure from the Ohio Department of Education.
