Austin Industrial is currently seeking a Scaffold Leadman to join our staff located at Pasadena, TX. They must be able to supervise crews, offering leadership and guidance to craft workers, assisting the Foreman, and performing journeyman-level tasks.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares worksite by selecting and gathering necessary tools and materials
- Reviews blueprints and specifications to determine structural dimensions
- Inspects surfaces for obstructions and ensures proper setup conditions
- Handles loading, transporting, and unloading of construction materials
- Measures and cuts wood and plywood to required sizes using hand tools
- Utilizes a variety of carpentry tools including saws, drills, hammers, and levels
- Assembles scaffolding systems with safety components per job specifications
- Installs and secures scaffolding, ladders, platforms, and walkways on structures
- Braces forms and sets anchor bolts for concrete construction
- May assist with rigging and material handling
- Performs basic maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment
- Adheres strictly to safety protocols and project guidelines
- Carries out additional tasks as assigned

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications:
- Experience – Proven journeyman-level experience in scaffolding and construction
- Ability to supervise crews and provide clear instruction and guidance
- Skilled in interpreting blueprints and job specifications
- Familiarity with carpentry and scaffolding tools (hand and power tools)
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3–5 years in scaffolding or related construction work
- Prior supervisory or leadman experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid TWIC card
- Meet physical demands as listed above
- Must pass pre-employment screenings (e.g., drug test, background check)
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment
