SUMMARY:
We have an immediate FT opening out of our Albany Branch for a Field Service Technician serving our customers in Albany, Binghamton, Utica and Poughkeepsie. This position is responsible for working with customers and home owners to address issues with installed windows, and doors.

This position requires daily driving to service calls at customer homes. The Service Tech is expected to maintain professional behavior and appearance at all times and may be asked to work more than 40 hours in a work week.
This individual must have:
- A clean drivers’ license.
- Possess solid product knowledge.
- Have experience working with consumers.
- A carpentry background, including the installation and repair of windows and doors and the skills of an experienced craftsman are desired including measuring, caulking, and using power tools.
- The ability to recognize, diagnose and solve manufacturing defects, common installation issues and adjustment problems with these types of products.
- The ability to work from ladders and scaffolding, and/or in tight spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Outstanding customer service and telephone skills are required. Proficient use of iPhone, and iPad are preferred.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Employee must have clean valid driver’s license.
