About Company

The mission of the Europe Metallics Purchasing organisation is the procurement of ferrous metallic scraps, including HBI (Hot Briquetted Iron), DRI (Direct Reduced Iron), Pig Iron, Beach Iron, Skulls and billets (which are part of a broader and more comprehensive list).

As a part of ArcelorMittal Europe Long Products, our operational scope is extended within ArcelorMittal Europe Flat Products' s perimeter as well.

Our expert buyers supply the internal customers, the so called “users”, by providing efficient and reliable services and support, ensuring full compliance with the European and regional standards and regulations.

Even though the organisation is centrally managed, our buyers and users are located in five different regions and operating within international and multicultural environments.

A central business intelligence department is in place to support on the strategy, value creation follow-up, processes and procedures and contributes in the development of a “best-in-class” Metallics Purchasing organisation.

We have access to transversal projects and topics and play a key role towards the identification and anticipation of global market dynamics and the definition of strategies for future deployment of green steel production, with the ultimate objective of reducing CO2 emissions in Europe.
