Registered Dietician (PACE)

Location: Lexington, KY 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm


As a BCN Bluegrass PACE Care team member, you will be a part of a program providing all-inclusive healthcare that keeps Kentuckians aged 55+, who may otherwise need nursing home care, living safely at home. Our PACE experts work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to decide what’s best for each PACE participant, bringing all aspects of medical and personal care, plus social and support services. Most care services are provided at the PACE Center, including transportation to and from the Center. About the role:  

The PACE Registered Dietician optimizes nutritional status of PACE participants through comprehensive nutrition assessment, monitoring, and communicating concerns & recommendations to the PACE Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).

Requirements

  

  • B.S. in Health Sciences or B.S. in Dietetics from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Must hold a current registration card issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and hold an active licensure/certification from the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists. 
  • Must have a minimum of one year’s experience working with the frail and/or elderly. 
  • Experience in assessing and addressing disordered eating.
  • Able to teach, think analytically, and relate to geriatric patients. 
  • Knowledge of nutrition care process and federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements, with personal auto liability insurance in compliance with the state insurance laws governing liability, property damage, and bodily injury.
  • Must comply with requirements of other facilities (hospitals, LTC facilities, etc.) related to flu or other vaccines if job duties require providing services in those facilities. 
  • Team members will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN) Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies
