Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager – FCNR Deposits with Forward Cover to drive growth and innovation in our NRI deposit portfolio. The role requires expertise in foreign currency deposits, hedging/forward cover mechanisms, and the ability to act as a bridge between business, treasury, compliance, and technology teams.

The Product Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle: design, regulatory compliance, pricing, customer value proposition, sales enablement, and performance monitoring

Job Duties & responsibilities

  1. Product Development & Management
  • Own and manage the FCNR (Foreign Currency Non-Resident) Deposit product with forward cover.
  • Develop product strategy, pricing models, and customer value propositions in line with market dynamics.
  • Ensure smooth execution of forward cover/hedging mechanisms for depositors in partnership with Treasury.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings to keep the product competitive.
  1. Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with Treasury to design and structure forward cover solutions.
  • Liaise with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, FEMA regulations, and internal policies.
  • Partner with Technology teams to digitize the booking, renewal, and forward cover processes for enhanced customer experience.
  • Enable and train Relationship Managers, NRI banking teams, and frontline staff to market the product effectively.
  1. Customer & Business Focus
  • Identify NRI customer segments and design targeted campaigns to promote FCNR with forward cover.
  • Improve customer acquisition, retention, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for NRI deposit products in customer and partner interactions.
  1. Performance Management
  • Monitor product performance across deposits mobilized, spreads, cover utilization, and profitability.
  • Provide regular MIS, analytics, and dashboards to senior management.
  • Recommend tactical and strategic changes to drive business growth.

Requirements

  • 6–12 years of experience in banking with exposure in Product Management / Treasury / NRI Banking.

Education / Preferred Qualification

  • MBA

Core Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of FCNR deposits, NRI banking regulations, FEMA/RBI guidelines.
  • Understanding of currency forwards, and hedging instruments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and training capabilities
