POSITION DETAILS:

Job Title: Radiology Technologist, MRI

Status: This is a full-time, year-round, benefits eligible; If you're interested in a part-time role, please apply to discuss scheduling options.

Classification: Non-exempt - Hourly

Location: Frisco, Colorado; travel to other clinic locations will be required based on business needs

Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday ; NO on-call, weekend or holiday work; + Paid Holidays!

Entry Pay Range: $40.00 - $50.00


Final compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications. The posted range reflects the breadth of experience we seek across multiple technologist levels and years of experience. Employee compensation is reviewed on an annual basis as part of our ongoing commitment to internal equity and market competitiveness. This compensation range offers a strong starting point with opportunity for future growth over time, while supporting a desirable work-life balance — with no weekend, evening, or on-call shifts required.


RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions. This is a patient facing role working closely with clinical and administrative professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adjusts and operates MRI (and X-Ray) equipment to scan designated anatomical area in a safe and effective manner for operator and patient following all associated safety protocols.
  • Performs MRI studies; obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
  • Positions patient, attaches or adjusts immobilization devices as needed. practices sterile techniques and monitors patient movement and positioning to ensure that the patient is handled in a medically safe manner.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment.
  • Interviews and screen patients for contraindications.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report any adverse reactions.
  • Reviews and evaluates completed scans for quality, completeness and type of test ordered. Ensure quality images are available for radiologist labeled correctly with patient identification and other information to make an accurate diagnosis.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging procedures.
  • Maintains, clean and disinfects imaging equipment and office space.
  • Maintain medical and radiologic inventory.
  •  Ensures that emergency requests are performed on a timely basis appropriate to the nature of the emergency.
  • Stay up-to-date with advances in imaging technology and techniques.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights.
  • Assists in review and update of technical protocols and scheduling procedures for studies in the imaging department as requested.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, or other sensitive materials and information in printed, electronic or verbal form which may jeopardize the privacy of patients.
  • Maintain personal commitment to the Steadman Clinic mission and values.
  • Follow policies as established in the Employee Handbook.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and other required meetings.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of 24-month AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required and licensure as ARRT MRI registry or registry eligible.
  • Two years' experience required.
  • Excellent organization, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proven history of ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment; excellent critical thinking skills, ability to work independently, and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and work flow management skills required.
  • Demonstrate understanding of procedures, policies and documentation required to ensure compliance with hospital standards of care.
