Lead and supervise a team of culinary staff to help serve individuals overcoming addiction!

Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as the Food Services Supervisor in the Carlson Recovery Center program at Behavioral Health Network! 

 

 

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Carlson Recovery Center program with the following:

  • Overseeing all kitchen operations including menu preparation, maintaining inventory, and food & supply ordering.
  • Ensuring portion, cost, and waste control measures are taken.
  • Providing & maintaining data used to plan and control the kitchen operating budget.
  • Providing direct supervision to all kitchen staff in the program.
  • Adhering to kitchen compliance standards set forth by the Department of Public Health and the local Board of Health.
  • Preparing nutritious and healthy meals for all individuals served, partnering with dietary consultant to ensure balanced meals and accommodate specific dietary restrictions.
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary food preparation environment.
  • Transporting food to other service locations, as needed.
  • Completing program specific forms and required documentation such as incident reports in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner.
  • Attending and participating in staff meetings, in-services, and mandatory trainings.

 

Who are we?

The Carlson Recovery Center in Springfield, MA is a 32-bed Acute Treatment Services program that serves those 18 years of age and older who are suffering from drug and alcohol addiction and are at the beginning stages of their recovery. A 24-hour multidisciplinary team provides acute treatment and detoxification services.

What are we looking for in the Food Services Supervisor?

  • Commitment to client empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
  • Food preparation experience in a residential program (preferred).
  • ServSafe certification (required).
  • Have or be eligible for Allergen Awareness Certification and Choking Hazards Certifications (required).
  • Familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems (required).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle available for all working hours (required).
