Summary

As part of the Ministry Support Team at the Austin Stone Community Church, the Ministry Support Coordinator (MSC) will be responsible for providing administrative, systems, program, event planning, and process support to the congregation staff and lay leadership. The MSC will report to the Ministry Support Manager.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for Congregation teams, including prepping supplies, delivering necessary communication assets, external communications, and facilities coordination.
  • Broadly Support the promotion and execution of ministry events and programs through the deployment of resources and logistics.
  • Work with the communications team to support, update, and monitor communication strategies for Austin Stone stakeholders.
  • Manage and administrate programs that provide resources to targeted populations.
  • Work with Integration Managers as they facilitate collaboration between congregations and the Ministry Support team.
  • Maintain quality relationships with congregation teams as the primary client  operations and creative divisions as ministry partners, and key external partners.
  • Maintain email platform audience and software services (Airtable, CCB, ServiceReef). 
  • Execute finances and coordinate available resources.
  • Support special projects as assigned.
  • Attend all required events and activities for The Austin Stone and Ministry Support Team, including staff meetings, prayer meetings, special events, retreats and staff development days.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree, preferred
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative support role or as a ministry coordinator

Detail Oriented & Problem-Solving Skills - Proven critical thinking skills. Shows attention to detail with processes and systems.  Applies critical thinking and integration ability to department wide efforts. Able to provide problem-solving support. Able to successfully develop new and better ways to work and promote a continuous improvement mentality.

Communication - Demonstrated capacity to inspire, instruct, and encourage through effective communication in various settings. Writes in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience. Able to communicate and work within a complex organizational structure with multiple layers of input. Practices proactive communication laterally and upwardly in the organization. Proficient use of telephone and web video conferencing. 

Collaboration - Able to collaborate across the organization and with various ministry partners. Exemplifies and defends the Doctrines, Convictions, Philosophies, and Strategies of The Austin Stone Community Church as outlined in our Culture documents.
