We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate EHS Administrator within our Environmental Health and Safety capability. This position reports to the EHS Coordinator and will work in Elkhart, IN.

About the position

The role of the EHS Administrator is to assist the EHS Coordinator Land Vehicles Americas in selected areas of Environmental, Health and Safety auditing, compliance, training and awareness and related programs, projects and processes throughout the Industrial Parkway, Elkhart, IN facility.

Your main responsibilities

  • Complete monthly EHS audits and inspections across all departments to support the Dometic Health and Safety Guidelines and the Dometic Loss Prevention Guidelines.
  • Complete necessary monthly inspections of key facility emergency support equipment including but not limited to eye wash stations, spill kits, emergency lights and fire extinguishers and support refilling these areas.
  • Support GHS and chemical safety program including updates to SDS’s and chemical labels.
  • Support 5S projects to improve workplace safety, safe material flow and waste reduction.
  • Support facility training goals including providing hands-on training and group training where needed to 5-10 attendees. This includes providing EHS training to various departments based on the need, including New Hire Safety Orientation, Contractor safety training, annual reorientation and other specialty area trainings as needed. 
  • Support key environmental activities including stormwater audits, waste storage audits, chemical audits, recycling programs, waste processes, etc.
  • Help coordinate emergency activities including drills and evacuation support.
  • Update EHS documents and plans including JHA’s, PPE assessments, purchase orders, audits, etc.
  • Lead the Industrial Parkway Safety and Sustainability Committee and related activities including, if interested, the 1st Aid/Emergency Response Team.
  • Other duties as assigned

A suitable background would be a solid experience within Environmental, Health, and Safety– as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Prior experience within a role or related to Environmental Health and Safety

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Technical background or understanding of product development processes is advantageous.
