About the program:
AIR6500 is the RAAF’s $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. AIR6500 will create a fully networked ‘system of systems’ that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.
About you:
- A degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
- Expertise in Systems Engineering, Integration, and Verification on large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of Command & Control, Command Support, or ISR domains.
- Solid grounding in MBSE principles and experience using tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, or ETM.
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum) development projects.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills to guide teams and engage stakeholders.
- An Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information.
- Shape and lead high-impact Defence V&V engineering activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Establish and lead the V&V engineering environment within an Agile delivery framework.
- Develop and manage V&V documentation, including plans, procedures, and compliance matrices.
- Design and implement the V&V digital thread for effective traceability.
- Coordinate and execute system verification activities across the program.
- Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships to support delivery outcomes.
- Manage cost, schedule, scope, risks, and opportunities as Control Account Manager (CAM).
