The Assistant Store Manager at Impressions Boutique & Gifts plays a vital role in supporting the Store Manager and ensuring our boutique continues to deliver an exceptional shopping experience. This position has a strong focus on driving sales and delivering outstanding customer service while also helping maintain daily operations and a welcoming store environment. A passion for fashion, strong communication skills, and a customer-first mindset are key to success in this role.


Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Actively drive sales on the floor by engaging with customers and promoting products.
  • Support sales associates in meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Motivate the team by setting a positive example in both sales and customer interactions.

Customer Service

  • Provide a high level of personalized service to ensure every customer has a memorable experience.
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and returns with professionalism and care.
  • Coach associates on delivering consistent, boutique-level customer service.

Team Support & Operations

  • Assist the Store Manager with scheduling, training, and mentoring team members.
  • Help oversee daily operations, including opening/closing procedures and cash handling.
  • Maintain store standards through merchandising, restocking, and creating inviting displays.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Store Manager on sales strategies, customer engagement, and marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with promotional events and seasonal floor set changes.

Requirements

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of retail sales or customer service experience.
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong sales skills and a passion for connecting with customers.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • Availability and willingness to work Saturdays.
  • Hours of availability must fall between 9:30am – 6:30pm, Monday–Saturday, and on Sundays during the holiday season.
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and motivated to contribute to the boutique’s success.
