Deltona Imaging Center is currently seeking a PRN X-ray Technologist for our fast-paced outpatient imaging center.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and families in a professional and helpful manner; provide clear instructions and answer questions
- Schedule procedures and assist with administrative functions
- Operate x-ray equipment to perform radiographs of designated anatomical areas
- Adjust equipment and apply proper exposure techniques in line with radiation safety guidelines
- Assist physicians during fluoroscopic procedures, special radiographic procedures, and DEXA scans
- Prepare and dispense contrast media and barium as needed
- Monitor and report equipment malfunctions
- Review images for technical quality and ensure appropriate labeling and order
- Follow all safety protocols and utilize radiation protection equipment
- Provide orientation to new technologists and training to student technologists
- Support the physical and emotional needs of patients and families
- Lift, carry, or move items up to 50 lbs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program
- ARRT (R) certification and BLS certification
- Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license
- One year of radiology experience preferred
- Proficiency with X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and Bone Density procedures
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with radiologic equipment, QA, and troubleshooting
- Intermediate computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
