Job Description
Pay Range: Starting at $22.25 an hour

Role:
This position performs reviews and prepares reports that contribute to analysis and evaluation of the credit union's exposure to credit risk and overall loan portfolio quality. Responsible for analyzing reports and data that identify adherence to policies and procedures, and expose risks including concentration risk, liquidity risk, interest rate risk, and compliance risk.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Evaluates areas of risk associated with existing lending and finance activity and practices. Analyzes risk of proposed changes to determine risks of implementing change. Reports in a timely manner all evaluation and analysis results as they are completed.
Evaluates data against lending processes, policies and procedures, ensuring that they fall within the parameters of Gulf Winds' policies, standards, and regulatory guidelines. Provides timely and accurate reports of the data evaluations.
Reports findings to Risk Manager. Recommends processes, tools and systems to avoid, reduce or transfer credit risk. Monitors economic environment; reports any major or critical risk issues.
Performs reviews prescribed by the credit risk audit and assessment program, assists in investigating and developing new processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, monitor, and report risk.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. Conducts timely and thorough reviews in an organized and professional manner.
2. Maintains knowledge of all appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations. Understands Credit Union's lending process, continually observes and monitors lending practices.
3. Provides accurate and timely reporting to Risk Manager on completed reviews, findings, and any current risk issues that may affect Gulf Winds. Recommends changes where applicable.
4. Utilizes system resources efficiently, develops new methods of audit and review that provide efficiencies, does research on tools and systems that detect and prevent credit risk. Networks with peers to stay on top of current trends in credit risk analysis.
5. Complies with all applicable rules, regulations and policies, including but not limited to BSA, OFAC and Physical Security.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education:(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Knowledge of lending process and loan products General PC skills required with emphasis on spreadsheet development, database programs, and mathematical modeling skills. Proficiency in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Access Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English clearly. Normally expected to work between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., but may be required to work nights and/or weekends. Must adhere to safety rules and regulations
Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment such as telephone and computer.
