Three dual degrees are offered: JD/MS in PFP, MBA/MS in PFP, and MS Tax/MS PFP and a minor in Agricultural Economics Ph.D. is also supported.
Graduate certificates in Personal Financial Planning, Charitable Financial Planning, and Life-Centered Financial Planning and a hybrid delivery MS degree are provided.
An online major in Applied Personal Finance and a minor in the Studies of Personal Finance and other courses meet the financial literacy needs of Texas Tech students.
Enrollment of majors includes approximately 237 undergraduate students and 126 graduate students, of which 49 are doctoral. There are 168 Applied Personal Finance Majors and 107 Personal Finance minors.

Faculty Qualifications
Specific required qualifications are:
1. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in personal finance or a closely related discipline (e.g., family & consumer sciences, financial planning, consumer & family economics, family resource management).
2. AFC® designation required. If the applicant is obtaining the AFC® designation (educational requirements satisfied and evidence of studying/taking the exam within the next 1 month on resume), please indicate within the resume and/or cover letter. A CFP ® designation or terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., etc.) could be a suitable substitute for the AFC® designation but AFC® designation would be required with in the first semester of teaching.
3. Online college-level teaching experience or relevant industry experience in a financial service industry field. 3-year minimum as evident in application documents (cover letter, resume, curriculum vitae).
