About the team

The Women's People & Culture team is responsible for providing strategic and operational services which support the employment and workforce needs of the Royal Women’s Hospital. Our aim is to provide systems and frameworks which support the management of our workforce and builds the capability and capacity of our people.

About the role

The P&C Business Partner is an integral role responsible for partnering with specific directorates in the organisation, with a focus on sustaining collaborative partnerships, the provision of consistent and timely advice, building manager capability and protecting the Women's positive workplace culture.

A regular day will see you:

  • Partnering with managers and directors to build their capability providing timely P&C advice and training across the employee lifecycle such as workforce management and planning, performance management, employee relations, change management and strategic recruitment
  • Interpreting Enterprise Agreement provisions, drawing upon relevant industrial instruments, legislation, policies and procedures to respond to and help resolve manager and employee enquiries
  • Assisting to maintain the Women's positive workplace culture and staff experience through your day to day coaching, mental health first aid and family violence workplace support, the application of alternative dispute resolution methodologies and your support of wellbeing initiatives

About you

You will be an experienced Human Resources generalist, with demonstrated experience as an internal consultant and partner in the provision of strategic and tactical day-to-day HRM advice, along with provision of support, coaching and leadership on complex business and people matters. You will have a strong focus on maintaining an exceptional employee experience and a committment to the Women's values of Courage, Passion, Discovery and Respect.

You’ll bring with you strong demonstrated experience in:

  • Delivering contemporary solutions-focused strategic HRM initiatives
  • Influencing culture through the provision of advice and coaching, including the formulation and delivery of culture-shift strategies to strengthen required positive behaviors of individuals and teams
  • Employee Relations, particularly in building performance, coaching leaders, case managing underperformance and disciplinary matters, resolving disputes, alternative dispute resolution, and conducting investigations
  • Industrial relations and experience working with complex enterprise agreements 
  • An environment of high-volume queries, navigating and resolving complex people matters and supporting multiple stakeholders
