About Us

Our Finance team is a trusted partner across the University, providing practical financial guidance and leadership to support effective decision-making, drive education and research outcomes, and foster a collaborative, service-focused culture

The Opportunity

As Head of Financial Performance, you will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to shape and deliver the University’s financial strategy. This is a pivotal leadership role overseeing financial planning and analysis, business partnering, treasury, and capital planning.

You’ll lead a high-performing team and play a key role in enhancing financial systems and processes, delivering timely and strategic insights to senior stakeholders, and supporting transformation initiatives across the University.

Key responsibility include:

  • Lead strategic financial planning, modelling, and performance reporting.
  • Drive business partnering and stakeholder engagement across the University.
  • Oversee financial systems development and process improvement.
  • Manage treasury, investment, and capital planning activities.
  • Champion team development and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related discipline, with full professional membership of a recognised accounting body (e.g., CPA, CA).
  • Proven experience in senior financial leadership within complex environments.
  • Expertise in strategic financial planning, performance reporting, and modelling initiatives that drive organisational impact.
  • Demonstrated success in leading transformation projects, including system upgrades, process automation, and digital reporting.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a focus on stakeholder service and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in treasury, investment, and capital planning will be highly regarded.
